People in Videam

Theo Houterman

Videam was founded by Theo Houterman in 2004. Having a technical background, he started his career abroad with an international engineering consultancy firm. Countries such as Iraq, Bahrain and Rwanda, where he worked as a civil engineer building physical bridges for several years, brought him in contact with a variety of people and cultures. From the early nineties onwards he has been responsible as an executive board member for various organisations in need of positive development. His technical background, wide range of experience in a variety of different environments, as well as personal post graduate training at institutes such as Nyenrode and Insead have shaped him. People describe him as an individual with such characteristics as a strong analytic mind, an entrepreneur who is decisive and focused on both people and result. Having started building physical bridges, he now spans bridges between people, organisations, required performance and the external environment. The recurring theme of creating positive development, together with the individuals within the organizations is a key element in the philosophy of Videam.
